Wern Fawr Manor Farm, North Wales, is a Grade II * - 16th Century Country
House, which has been extensively restored by the current owners. Situated in
approximately 60 acres of its own grounds, 6.25 acres of gardens and fields
and 54 acres of woodlands , which we hope to create nature trails and woodlands
walks in for our guests to enjoy, all this is surrounded by open countryside,
it is on the outskirts of Llanbedrog, which is in the heart of the Lleyn Peninsula,
an area designated as one of outstanding natural beauty.
We like to consider ourselves innovative and it is flattering when others follow our lead, The Welsh Assembly - via Visit Wales is the latest in only now asking businesses to promote local produce, which we have been doing since we started business in 1999! We use local shops and businesses (be it for brochure design and printing, painting and decorating , building maintenance, buying award winning welsh bacon and sausages from local suppliers etc, etc.) This not only provides our visitors with the quality that they are looking for but also reduces our carbon footprint and we support the local economy. We also consider ourselves a carbon neutral business as our purchase of 54 acres of woodlands in 2003, we feel, offsets our carbon usage. Are we the first in the Lleyn or Wales? To visit the carbon neutral web site click on their web site address: www.carbonneutral.com.
We also have been promoting local businesses, including our competitors in order to keep business in our area, through our community web site www.llanbedrog.info launched in 2003 - 5 years ago! We hope you approve.
